Cornerstone Legacy Society
Celebrates, recognizes, and honors those who have made a gift to Augusta Health Foundation through a will, trust, or estate plan.
“If you’re going to live, leave behind a legacy. Make an impact on the world that can never be erased.
– Maya Angelou
Making a gift to Augusta Health Foundation through a will, trust, or estate plan is a meaningful way to leave a lasting legacy and support the future of healthcare in our community. Planned giving allows you to make significant contributions that you may not have thought possible — while ensuring that your values endure. These gifts provide critical funding that allows Augusta Health to invest in advanced medical technologies, expand facilities, and support essential programs. It’s a powerful opportunity to make a difference for generations to come.
If you’ve made plans to support Augusta Health Foundation through your estate, please complete our Intent Form to let us know or visit our Planned Giving page to learn more.

Education
An annual gathering in the fall shares presentations about the impact of gifts made possibly by planned giving of Cornerstone Legacy Society members.
Anyone interested in learning more about how a gift can benefit community patient care is encouraged to attend.

Impact
Legacy gifts can make an impact on patient care at Augusta Health. The following 2024 gifts were designated for care at Shenandoah House:
An estate gift from the late Roxie White enable hospice patients who are oxygen dependent to spend their final days at Shenandoah House instead in the hospital. Her gift helped fund a new oxygen therapy system for patients who otherwise would not be able to experience end-of-life care at Shenandoah House.
A gift from the estate of Mildred M. Broughman provided support to Hospice patients who could not afford their care.
The Mary Woodward Williams’ Trust established the James Hamilton Woodward Memorial Endowment to benefit patients who do not have the resources to afford their care.
